Oily Skin
Raw honey and TumericÂ
Often people with oily skin lack hydration, from excess sebum production. Here, raw honey contains B3 and B6 comes to the rescue to moisturize skin. It also has antibacterial properties to maintain regular oil production. Turmeric has antimicrobial properties, balances sebum production and prevents clogging pores . Use tumeric in moderation as turmeric may leave stains on the face ( 2 times a week maximum). Also make a thicker raw honey paste to minimise stainingÂ
Acne control
Lemon juice and cinnamon
Lemon juice contains ascorbic acid (aka Vitamin C). It instantly soothes inflammation and directly reduces acne. Citric acid can also unclog pores as well as slightly exfoliate skin. Cinnamon is also antimicrobial, to fight against acne causing bacteriaÂ
 Clogged pores
Activated charcoal and aloe vera waterÂ
Incorporating charcoal into my face care routines since I was young, this has definitely helped with my pores. Not only does it remove dirt and toxins (the disgusting gunk!), it also draws out the oil! It is also a gentle exfoliant to remove dead skin cells. Aloe Vera helps to soothe and hydrate the skin from the charcoal.
Glowing skin
Yogurt and raw honeyÂ
The yogurt contains traces of lactic acid, acting as a mild exfoliant. Creates new skin cells quicker to allow better moisture absorption. Raw honey locks in the moisture, through being a humectant. This mask is one of the best DIY glass skin face masks out there, for all KBeauty lovers – this once is for you.
 Deep clean
Bentonite clay and vinegar rose waterÂ
Bentonite clay helps efficiently cleanse the skin and remove impurities, but heals the skin simultaneously to nourish the healing process. Vinegar rose water balances the skin pH and kills bacteria, while rose water soothes and refreshes the skin.Â
Blackhead removal
Egg white and lemon juice
I do admit sometimes smothering leftover egg white on my face after baking sometimes. Egg whites can directly tighten pores and remove the blackheads. They can effectively remove the oily sheen from the face. Lemon juice speeds up the unplugging process once again.Â
 Anti-aging
Egg white and yogurt
Egg Whites often can make skin more elastic and prevent wrinkles and fine lines. It removes the oily sheen. Yogurt helps with cell production rate and exfoliates the skin.
 Healthy skin
Jojoba oil and wild turmeric
Jojoba oil is one of the best remedies to balance oil production, due to its nature of resembling human sebum. Turmeric does miracles for the skin. It is anti-inflammatory and has antioxidant properties to boost skin health. Rich in phytonutrients, it can act as a shield from free radicals preventing cell damage. It also does a great job curing inflamed, damaged skin to prevent premature aging.Â
Remarks
Remember that although these natural remedies are beneficial, remember that everyone has a different skin composition. In the case if you have allergic skin reactions, please wash off the product! I have tested all homemade face mask concoctions with my inner wrist, and I would suggest that you do the same. At the end of the day, if you have persistent skin concerns, it would be the best to visit a dermatologist for seeking professional advice.
